Christmas is Coming!

We talked about the very first Christmas.

Then we opened the first window on our Advent calendars.

We spotted some of Santa's helpers playing in our class this week.

These helpers are busy wrapping presents.

Mae hi’n wyntog heddiw!
It’s windy today!

Let’s have some fun playing with scarves outside.

It’s our P4C lesson and we’re talking about which Christmas cards we like and explaining why we like them.

What’s in our case?
All of these objects begin with the letter sound ‘t’. We know a song about that.

We're busy making Christmas goodies.

Reception’s Visit to

St Canna’s Church

Welcome to St Canna.

We wrapped up warm before heading outside.

We're following the leader, the leader, the leader, we're following the leader where ever they may go.

We planted wild flower seeds in the garden.

Help the Church!

Quick the rain's coming. We need to plant the daffodil bulbs.

 What a team!

Ruth was very kind and prepared some squash and biscuits for us to have. After regaining our energy, Ruth taught us how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star using bells.

What a lovely trip to the Church.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

We’re helping our teachers tell the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, poor bears, that Goldilocks has eaten all of the porridge!

We’re so good at reading maps, now where is that cottage and will the bears be at home?

We think we’ve nearly found it.

Hello, is anybody in?

Let’s draw our own maps.

We’re making lots of lovely porridge for the three bears.

The bears think it’s delicious!

Run, run as fast as you can.
You can't catch me I'm
The Gingerbread Man!

We listened to the story of The Gingerbread Man and then created a story map.

Back in class we made our own story maps.

It’s enterprise week at Llangan. Let’s make gingerbread people to sell at our school fair on Friday!

It’s fun experimenting with different ingredients.

Can we work together to solve this problem? How can we help the Gingerbread Man get to the other side of the river?
We’ve been helping to move the bark from behind the school – it's hard work but we can do it!

Come and buy our delicious biscuits and lots of other lovely things at our school fair on Friday after school.

Welcome Back After Our Half Term Holiday!

We've been talking about Bonfire Night and enjoyed making splatter paintings.

We talked about firework safety as our teachers lit sparklers.

Afterwards we had fun outside taking it in turns to find out how fast we could make our toy cars travel down some guttering.

We've been learning a new song this week called 'How Are You Feeling Today?'

We talked about what makes us feel happy, sad or angry. Look at our funny faces!

It's Monday morning and the Medical Centre

is already busy!

On Tuesday we invited our families to our Macmillan coffee morning. We sang the rhymes we have been learning for
our rhyme challenge.
We raised £50 for Macmillan Cancer Care - thank you so much for your support!

What a lovely day, let's go on an Autumn hunt to see what we can find.

It's hard work collecting all of those leaves - time for a
rest!

Let's work together to make an autumn collage.

This is tricky - using tweezers to collect the seeds from a pumpkin and finding treasure in orange coloured jelly.

Reception children shared the story 'Pumpkin Soup' and then chopped vegetables to make their own soup.Delicious!
