It's Monday morning and the Medical Centre

is already busy!

On Tuesday we invited our families to our Macmillan coffee morning. We sang the rhymes we have been learning for
our rhyme challenge.
We raised £50 for Macmillan Cancer Care - thank you so much for your support!

What a lovely day, let's go on an Autumn hunt to see what we can find.

It's hard work collecting all of those leaves - time for a
rest!

Let's work together to make an autumn collage.

This is tricky - using tweezers to collect the seeds from a pumpkin and finding treasure in orange coloured jelly.

Reception children shared the story 'Pumpkin Soup' and then chopped vegetables to make their own soup.Delicious!

This week we've been talking about some of the ways we can keep healthy.

It's been a very busy week in our medical centre. The staff have been rushed off their feet with lots of patients visiting.

We've talked about how important it is to wash our hands. These friends are catching glittery 'germs' in the water tray.

We're decorating invitations because we're inviting our parents to a coffee morning next week.

Look at us climbing up and down a 'hill' like The Grand Old Duke of York.

Now we're jumping like in the rhyme Jack Be Nimble.

Our Reading Breakfast

We had fun sharing stories with our friends while we ate our toast.

A tiger came to read us stories. He does look a bit like Miss Niman!

Reading stories to each other.

Look at our wonderful costumes.

It's Reading Week at Llangan Primary

Look at all these clues, which nursery rhyme are we talking about?

Sharing books in our reading cabin.

We've got rhythm!

What's Incy Wincy saying? We know a rhyme about him.

We love sharing story sacks with our friends.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

We searched all around the school
for items that need electricity to work.

It was easy sorting items in to two hoops

– uses electricity, doesn't use electricity.

We made shiny pictures to help us see in the dark.

Using torches to see in the dark.

After catching our dreams we wrote about them
- I dreamed a dream.

I'm A Little Tea Pot

Mrs Hughes makes the teachers a lovely cup of tea. We tell her how to make it step by step.

I’m a little tea pot short and stout,
here’s my handle, here’s my spout.
When it comes to tea time, hear me shout,

“tip me up and pour me out.”

In Reception we enjoy some tea.
Let’s add some more, and take some away.

Mr Chaeter enjoyed our scrummy tea biscuit.

We pour coloured water in to
different sized containers.
Full and half full.

We use our sense of smell and taste different drinks.

Making smelly potions.

Oh No! The Queen of Hearts Has Lost Some Tarts!

The Queen of Hearts sent us a message, can we please help her find her tarts? She thinks the knave has stolen them!

Binoculars? Magnifying lenses? Yes, we're all ready to look for those tarts.

Aha! Our first clue. What does it say?

Clue number 2. Where does it tell us to go next?

We've found them, in the old hall! We'd better write a letter to the Queen and tell her where they are. Then we've earned a jam tart each - yum!

Look at these letters. The Queen is going to enjoy reading them. We'd better go and post them.

All that work has made us feel hungry. Let's find out how to make our own jam tarts.

We can't wait until they're cooked.

Let's play a game with the parachute while we wait . Ready, steady - popcorn!

What are the Reception class looking for? Oh, blackberries.

Time for some fun after all that hard picking.

What else have we collected? Lots of interesting autumn leaves.

Let's paint them and print with them. Look at all of those interesting different shapes, sizes and patterns.
